Hermetically Sealed
Distribution Transformers

Ever thought of having a maintenance free electrical equipment?

Maintenance & upkeep of an electrical equipment throughout its operating life is a big challenge in any running plant. Hence, equipment which require minimum or no maintenance are always preferred. Our Hermetically Sealed Transformer is solution to this headache. It is best choice for customers who are willing to pay premium if there are no headaches and also operating cost towards maintenance of assets is lower.
Hermetically sealed transformer does not differ much from conventional one appearance wise. However its design and construction is different.

hermetically Sealed Transformer

It has welded tank design in which all four walls of tank are subjected to corrugation to form fins. In short, the surface area of tank is increased by corrugation to handle heat dissipation, thereby eliminating need of cooling radiators which are used in conventional transformer. The tank design and corrugated fins takes care of expansion and compression due to variation in temperature of oil. Hence, such transformers are not equipped with conservator tank and breather. Workmanship of highly experienced and qualified welders and leak tests during production ensure that the finished tank is leak free. The oil is filled in totally controlled atmosphere under vacuum condition due to which it does not come into contact with the air and its electrical properties (like BDV) are therefore not compromised & dielectric strength of an oil is maintained throughout its operating life.

Salient Features

  • 1. Compact in volume- Best suitable where space constraint is a major issue.
  • 2. No maintenance cost as oil does not come in contact with atmosphere.
